Mike Trout Leaves With Groin Tightness
Mike Trout (groin) left Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox early due to left groin tightness. It's not what you want to hear from a team looking to snap a 12-game skid after they fired manager Joe Maddon earlier in the day. Trout entered Tuesday's game in a 1-for-28 slump in his last eight games, but he had gone 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a double before departing early with his injury. The 30-year-old still entered the day with a .276/.382/.575 slash line with a .957 OPS, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 36 runs scored in 181 at-bats, but fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that Trout won't need a stint on the injured list. At the very least, he'll be day-to-day and is unlikely to be in the lineup on Wednesday. Check back for more updates on Trout's condition.
