Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund (upper body) will not be able to complete Wednesday's contest against the Vancouver Canucks. After logging only five shifts and 2:58 of ice time, Backlund exited the game due to an upper-body injury, and the team has ruled him out for the rest of the night. Backlund had a chance to post his first three-game point streak of the season on Wednesday. He entered the action boasting 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 63 games for the campaign. Adam Klapka will likely enter the lineup if Backlund needs to take time off the heal and can't play on Friday against the Colorado Avalanche. Klapka's role with the Flames has been very limited, and he doesn't offer anything for fantasy managers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
