4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Lions. Thomas is getting closer to a return, as he returned to practice this week, but unfortunately for his fantasy managers, he'll miss his third straight game. New Orleans is choosing to play it safe with their All-Pro wideout early in the season. Another Thomas absence is obviously bad news for quarterback Drew Brees' fantasy upside in a solid matchup, while veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders will continue to operate as the No. 1 receiver, giving him WR4/flex appeal in deeper season-long formats.
