11 months agoWashington Nationals ace Max Scherzer tossed another quality outing on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves in the second game of a doubleheader. Scherzer went seven innings, allowing just one run on four hits with six strikeouts. The lone blemish was a solo home run to Charlie Culberson in the sixth inning that tied the game. The Nationals did not provide Scherzer with enough run support for a win, but the right-hander has looked strong since the All-Star break. Scherzer is scheduled to toe the rubber on Sunday in a matchup with the Chicago Cubs.--Adam Young - RotoBaller
