Matt Chapman Homers on Wednesday
Matt Chapman launched his 11th homer of the season in a 6-5 win over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. After the Giants fell down 5-0 in the early innings, Chapman kick-started the comeback with his two-run shot in the fifth to cut the deficit to 5-3. The two-run homer was his only hit in four at-bats, but he certainly made an impact in the contest. On the year, Chapman is hitting .236 with 11 homers, 31 runs, 28 RBI, and five steals across 216 at-bats. While not eye-popping numbers, Chapman has established himself as a solid fantasy third baseman and should finish with double digits in homers and steals for a second consecutive season.
