5 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Matt Adams will split time with teammate Howie Kendrick at first base as the team prepares for the NLDS against the Dodgers. Adams did not see any action in the Wild Card play-in game but has contributed 20 home runs this season. He especially has struggled on the road this season, slashing .225/.248/.424 with 60 strikeouts through 150 at-bats on the road. Adams has the power to turn a ballgame around but will have to wait his turn after hitting .138 in September for the first round of the postseason.
