6 years agoHouston Astros infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez will have a favorable matchup against Indians ace Corey Kluber when the ALDS opens on Friday. Gonzalez is 6-for-13 (.461) with two home runs off Kluber over the past three seasons and has had the most success among all Astros against the right-hander. Gonzalez, however, has struggled this season against right-handed pitching, slashing only .235/.327/.395 after posting a .322/.394/.552 line in 2017. The good news is that Gonzalez finished the year white-hot, posting a 1.002 OPS in the month of September with 11 doubles and 17 runs batted in over his last 22 games.
