2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners are recalling outfielder Jarred Kelenic from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday. Kelenic struggled in 40 games with the M's earlier this year before being sent back to the farm, as he went 14-for-113 (.124) with four homers, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored, five stolen bases and 47 strikeouts. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter was much better at Tacoma, slashing .296/.366/.557 with a .922 OPS, 18 homers, 65 RBI, 58 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 86 games played. He has a batting average of .167 with 18 home runs, 55 RBI and 11 stolen bases in his first 133 major-league games dating back to his rookie season in 2021. Kelenic's power/speed profile is worth taking a chance on in deeper leagues for the last few weeks of the regular season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
