Marco Gonzales Returns From Paternity List
3 years agoThe Seattle Mariners reinstated left-hander Marco Gonzales from the paternity list on Wednesday. Gonzales is expected to return to the starting rotation to face the Texas Rangers at home this weekend. The 29-year-old southpaw has a 5.10 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 42/18 K/BB in nine starts covering 47 2/3 innings this year, but he's coming off a quality start against the Tampa Bay Rays on June 20 when he allowed two runs on five hits while striking out a season-high six batters in 6 1/3 innings. Gonzales has a decent 3.97 ERA with 11 strikeouts and five walks in 11 1/3 innings over his last two starts against the Rays and Minnesota Twins, so he'll be in play as a streaming option this weekend against Texas.
