Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey (shoulder) broke his collarbone on the opening kick return last night, sources tell The Insiders. A possible tough end to a promising season for the 2024 third-round pick, NFL networks' Mike Garafolo reports. McCaffrey had a tough break on Sunday night, as he was injured on the very first play of the game and was quickly ruled out. The second-year player out of Rice University has been enjoying a nice season thus far with three touchdowns and 203 receiving yards, to go along with his 769 kick return yards. Although the length of how long he will be sidelined has not been fully disclosed, McCaffrey will likely land on the IR, and fantasy managers who roster him will want to keep tabs on any updates over the next 12-24 hours. In redraft formats, he can be dropped, as he remains a dynasty stash at this time.--Nicho Roessler
