New Jersey Devils defenseman Luke Hughes (upper body) has been ruled out for Tuesday's elimination game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Hughes has not played in the first-round series since Game 2 and may have made his final appearances for the season if the Devils cannot win Game 5. Dougie Hamilton will continue to lead the Devils defense on Tuesday night. He has averaged 24:39 of ice time in the series but hasn't performed at his best. Hamilton's offensive impact has been limited to one assist, and he has blocked six shots while delivering 10 hits.--Taavi Pailk
