Former St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Luke Gregerson cleared waivers and has been unconditionally released, making him a free agent. It is difficult to see the 35-year-old Gregerson catch a significant role with someone else given his struggles (7.94 ERA in just 5 2/3 innings this year) and the fact that no team put a claim in on him. He had good success from 2009-16, including 31 saves in 2015, but now appears to be nearing the end given his climbing ERA and peripherals since 2017. Any fantasy relevance has been lacking for some time.--Nathaniel Green
