Lucas Sims Loses Arbitration Case
3 years agoCincinnati Reds relief pitcher Lucas Sims lost his salary arbitration case with the team on Friday and will now make $1.2 million this year after requesting $1.6 million. Sims is on the injured list right now with a back injury, already his second injured list stint of 2022. When he was healthy, he wasn't very good either, allowing seven earned runs on five hits while walking six and striking out five with one save in 6 2/3 innings. With Sims sidelined, the Reds have gone with a closer committee involving Tony Santillan, Hunter Strickland and Alexis Diaz. Santillan has blown his last two save opportunities, and it's a situation for fantasy managers to stay away from if they can.
