Leonard Fournette Likely To Go On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are "likely" to place running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury that left him on crutches following the Sunday night loss to the New Orleans Saints, according to a league source. Going on IR would mean that Fournette wouldn't be eligible to return until the start of the playoffs, since there are only three regular season games remaining. It's a big blow for the Bucs and fantasy managers trying to finish the season strong with a championship. In Fournette's absence, Ronald Jones II will be the team's RB1, making him an immediate waiver-wire priority with immediate RB1 fantasy upside in Week 16 against the Panthers. Ke'Shawn Vaughn and the recently signed Le'Veon Bell are the only other RBs on the active roster with Giovani Bernard (hip, knee) on IR.
