New York Islanders right wing Kyle Palmieri has signed a two-year, $9.5 million extension. This campaign marked the final season of Palmieri's four-year, $20-million deal with the Islanders. While the veteran forward has battled some health issues, the Islanders have received decent value for money. He finished the 2024-25 campaign with 24 goals and 48 points in 82 games. Last season, Palmieri had his second career 30-goal year. In total, he has made 305 appearances with the Islanders, scoring 172 points (87 goals, 85 assists). The 34-year-old is expected to continue playing an important role in the Islanders offense next season.--Taavi Pailk
