Kyle Harrison Diagnosed with a Bruised Elbow
Kyle Harrison (elbow) gave up five runs on nine hits in just 4 1/3 innings against the Padres on Wednesday, but his team rallied and won, earning him a no-decision. In the fifth inning, he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Gavin Sheets and immediately left the game. The Giants said that Harrison is dealing with just a bruise, though, which could mean he'll be ready to go for his next start. If he keeps his current spot in the rotation, he will face the Rockies next Tuesday at Coors Field, but keep an eye on the situation to see if the Giants try to get him some extra recovery time after sustaining the bruise. It wasn't a great outing for Harrison before the injury, but the 23-year-old had shown good upside since moving to the rotation a few games ago.
