Minnesota Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson turned in an excellent start against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Gibson pitched seven scoreless innings, striking out eight and walking just one, but had to settle for a no-decision in a game that needed 14 innings to decide. It has been an excellent season for Gibson, who has pitched to a 3.57 ERA and is striking out a career-high 9.43 batters per nine innings. He only has a 1-3 record, which has suppressed his fantasy value, but he should be owned as a back-end starter in deeper leagues.--Matt T - RotoBaller
