Kristian Campbell Sticks at Second Base on Sunday
Kristian Campbell is starting at second base and batting seventh for Sunday's series finale against the Atlanta Braves and right-hander Bryce Elder at Truist Park. Manager Alex Cora said earlier this week that Campbell was expected to make a start at first base in the weekend series against the Braves, but it's not going to happen. Abraham Toro will start at first on Sunday and is hitting cleanup for the BoSox. Campbell has been working out at first base as the club continues to look for other options at the position in the wake of Triston Casas' (knee) season-ending injury. Eventually, the 22-year-old should see some action at the cold corner, but it probably won't be enough for him to gain eligibility there in fantasy. Campbell got off to a nice start in his rookie campaign but has struggled since and is currently hitting .227/.314/.351 with five homers, 16 RBI, 22 runs and two stolen bases.
