Kristian Campbell Not Expected To Join Major League Roster
3 months agoBoston Red Sox second base prospect Kristian Campbell is not expected to join the major league roster when the rosters expand over the weekend according to Christopher Smith. The 22-year-old has progressed through the minor leagues incredibly this season. He opened the summer by getting his first extended look at High-A and needed just 40 games to move up to Double-A. Through 56 games at Double-A Portland, the Georgia Tech product posted a stellar .362/.463/.582 line. Campbell then got the call to Triple-A Worcester, where he currently carries a .303/.410/.606 line through his first eight games. Campbell remains one of the top prospects in the Boston system and should spend most of next summer in the major leagues, given his current pace.
