Kole Calhoun Makes Appearance At Clean-Up Spot
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 home victory against the Texas Rangers while batting out of the fourth spot in manager Brad Ausmus' order. It was his first appearances in the cleanup spot since Sept. 2017. Calhoun had been slumping, slipping from .240 to .222 in a five-game span, but he had a three-hit game on Saturday and he has scored three runs over the past two outings after managing to tap the plate three times in 11 total games from May 10-24. He remains a decent power supply for fantasy owners in AL-only leagues and some mixed formats, just beware of his so-so batting average.
