Ke'Shawn Vaughn Could Be Surprise Of RB Class
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn, the 76th overall pick in the third round out of Vanderbilt, led the SEC over the last two years with an average of 4.4 yards per rush after contact among those with a minimum of 100 rushes, per Pro Football Focus. His receiving skills could definitely come in handy with Tom Brady as his quarterback, as Brady targeted his backs the second-most among QBs in 2019 with 155 targets. It will all depend on how big of a role Vaughn sees while sharing time with Ronald Jones II and Dare Ogunbowale. Head coach Bruce Arians has a reputation for gravitating toward running backs with more experience, so that's a negative for the rookie. Still, there's upside here in a much-improved offense, giving Vaughn RB3/flex appeal right away in PPR leagues.
