Kendrick Bourne 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Remains On PUP List, Ineligible To Play Until Week 5
4 months agoAfter three modest years of production, the Patriots brought wide receiver Kendrick Bourne (knee) back for the 2024 season. The best season of his career came in 2021 when he finished as a back-end WR3, racking up 55 receptions for 800 yards and five touchdowns. After a down year in 2022, Bourne was on his way to a bounce-back season in 2023 before an ACL tear in Week 8 derailed his campaign. 2024 will see Bourne begin the year on the PUP, guaranteeing he misses at least the first four games of the regular season. He's understandably behind in Alex Van Pelt's new offensive install, and New England acquired WRs K.J. Osborn (free agency), Ja'Lynn Polk, and Javon Baker through the NFL Draft. Returning wideout Demario Douglas also threatens Bourne's playing time, which doesn't seem all that guaranteed at this point. The Patriots drafted Drake Maye with the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and a starter has not been named between him and Jacoby Brissett. Bourne is better left off fantasy manager's radars for the time being as he is undrafted in Yahoo! ADP.
