Raisel Iglesias Removed From Closer Role
Raisel Iglesias has been reportedly removed from the primary closer role. Braves manager Brian Snitker told reporters on Friday that Iglesias won't be the closer going forward. This move isn't shocking considering Iglesias holds a 6.75 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, and 25/6 K/BB ratio this season. He's only 8-for-12 in save situations, so the Braves have decided to shake it up. It's unclear who the Braves are going to use in the ninth inning now. Pierce Johnson got the save chance on Saturday, but gave up a walk-off home run to Matt Chapman. It'll probably be a committee, so there isn't a clear pickup for fantasy purposes. Iglesias will certainly lose fantasy value with him being removed from the closer role.
