Kendre Miller Runs for 15 Yards in Preseason Opener
Kendre Miller carried the ball six times for 15 yards and caught his lone target for a nine-yard gain in a 27-13 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. With Alvin Kamara resting, Miller got the start and handled the first two touches of the game for the Saints. It was an underwhelming performance for the third-year runner, who posted a long run of eight yards but didn't do much else in the loss. The talented running back is looking to break camp as the primary backup to Kamara after an injury-filled first two seasons in the league. If he wins the RB2 role in New Orleans, Miller would be a solid handcuff option to Kamara in deeper fantasy leagues. Miller's next preseason game comes on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
