Keke Coutee Expected To Challenge For Slot Receiver Job
7 years agoHouston Texans rookie wide receiver Keke Coutee is expected to challenge Braxton Miller for the slot receiver role this season, according to Houston Chronicle reporter Aaron Wilson. Coutee has impressed the coaching staff and star receiver DeAndre Hopkins during organized team activities. Wilson notes that Coutee is already running sharp routes and that his open-field speed can be useful in Houston's passing game. Miller, who the team drafted in the third round in 2016, has missed time in both of his pro seasons and recorded just 19 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown last season. Coutee shouldn't have to do much to earn the slot role, though he's a risky pick in anything but dynasty leagues right now.
