Kaytron Allen 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: So You're Saying There's a Chance
Despite splitting opportunities with Nicholas Singleton over the last two seasons at Penn State, Kaytron Allen still managed to post back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and average 5.4 yards per carry over his four-year collegiate career. Unfortunately for Allen, he lacks the home-run, breakaway speed that fantasy managers would love to have on their rosters. Still, he is a patient runner who is currently projected to fill a rotational back role early in his career. In Washington, they added a pass-catching back in Rachaad White, who has averaged 51.3 receptions pr season over his four-year career to fill that specific role. Allen's primary obstacle for touches is second-year running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who averaged 4.6 yards per carry and churned out 805 yards on the ground in 2025 while fending off Chris Rodriguez Jr. for backfield opportunities. What is appealing about Allen is that the Commanders averaged 134.7 rushing yards per game last season, the fourth-most, while Croskey-Merritt led the team in carries with 175. Washington is committed to the run game, which allows Allen to make a case for himself to at least split those carries with Croaskey-Merritt at some point this season.
