Josh Oliver Impressing Coaching Staff
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie tight end Josh Oliver is showing consistency and impressing the coaching staff during organized team activities. The third-round pick has caught the eye of head coach Doug Marrone. “The transition of what we were able to see on tape to what he’s been able to do on the field has been great,” Marrone said. “He’s been able to do the things we ask. He can run. He has a really good catch radius.” With just Geoff Swaim and James O'Shaughnessy to compete with in training camp, Oliver has a chance to make some noise in Year 1. However, we'd still like to see what he does in pads in training camp, and tight end is a notoriously difficult position to learn for rookies. The jury is still out, but he's one to watch this summer.
