Jose Urquidy Hit Hard In Saturday's Loss To Seattle
3 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy allowed six runs (five earned) on 12 hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners. He was tagged with his second loss of the season. The 27-year-old put a season-high 14 runners on base and has now surrendered at least 12 hits in two of his last three starts. He has failed to reach five innings in six of his previous nine outings. Urquidy continues to struggle this season, posting a 4.80 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and a 34:7 K: BB across 45 innings. The Astros right-hander will look to turn things around in his next start Friday on the road against the Kansas City Royals. Urquidy is not a recommended streamer in all league formats with his recent struggles.
