1 year agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (heel) is back at second base and in his usual leadoff spot atop the Astros lineup on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Miles Mikolas. Altuve injured his heel on Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers and was held out on Sunday and Tuesday as a precaution. The 33-year-old veteran All-Star hasn't played much this year due to a fractured wrist he suffered in the World Baseball Classic. He has played in just 26 games and is currently slashing .263/.351/.424 with seven doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI and five stolen bases in his 114 trips to the plate.
