Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is in a rare slump, hitting only .200 through 25 at-bats to begin the month of May. For whatever reason, the month of May has not always been kind to the reigning MVP. He hit only .231 in 2015 and thus far has struggled this month. But fear not fantasy owners, as Altuve is one of the most slump-proof hitters in the game. He also has backed up so-so month's of May with elite production in June. Over the past two seasons, Altuve is hitting .386 with eight home runs, 16 doubles and 28 runs batted in during the month of June. Altuve's fantasy value is still elite, but his recent slump represents perhaps the best opportunity to acquire him via trade right now in fantasy leagues.--Joey C - RotoBaller
