Jordan Westburg Back From 10-Day Injured List
Jordan Westburg (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and designated infielder Emmanuel Rivera for assignment in a corresponding move. The Orioles haven't released their lineup for Tuesday's game against the visiting Detroit Tigers, but Westburg figures to be back in there against left-hander Brant Hurter. The 26-year-old has been out since late April with a strained left hamstring, but he should be the club's starting third baseman now that he's back. In his eight minor-league rehab games with Norfolk, he went 11-for-28 with two home runs. Fantasy managers will be hoping he can carry that over after a slow start with the bat before his injury. The former first-rounder went 20-for-92 (.217) with four homers and six RBI in his first 23 games. Westburg was an All-Star in 2023 and hit 18 bombs in 107 games played. UPDATE: Westburg is at third base and batting sixth on Tuesday.
