Jordan Walker's Injury Isn't Serious
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker (shoulder), MLB's fourth-ranked overall prospect, avoided a serious injury when he suffered a mild strained right shoulder while sliding in spring action on Saturday. Walker took batting practice in the cages on Sunday, and the team is confident he'll be ready to return to the Grapefruit League lineup on Tuesday after an off day on Monday. "I'm good. I actually just did some stretching and stuff and I feel fine," said Walker. The 20-year-old stands at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds and has plenty of raw power with the bat. He's one of the most intriguing and attractive young prospects for fantasy managers in dynasty/keeper leagues, and he also figures to attract attention for his power in mixed leagues in 2023.
