Jordan Love Working On Deep-Ball Accuracy
4 years agoThe Green Bay Packers coaching staff noticed in quarterback Jordan Love's development as a rookie that he tended to lift his left heel as he completed his throwing motion on deep passes. Head coach Matt LaFleur and quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy think Love can develop more accuracy with a better-anchored left foot. The pressure is on Love with the Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers at odds over their future. The 22-year-old took part in the team's rookie minicamp last week and should gain valuable experience at organized team activities with Rodgers being a no-show. 2020 was basically a lost year for Love, and he still has a ways to go in his development as the future franchise signal-caller. But with backup Tim Boyle gone, Love is expected to be Rodgers' primary backup if Rodgers remains with the organization.
