The Houston Texans signed tight end Jordan Akins to their 53-man roster from their practice squad on Wednesday, according to his agents. The Texans recently cut Pharaoh Brown and Brevin Jordan (ankle) has missed the last couple of games due to injury. In three games active in 2022 in Weeks 3 through 5, Akins has caught seven of his eight targets for 86 yards and a touchdown. The 30-year-old isn't much of an option for fantasy managers in 12-team leagues, though, in Houston's lackluster offense with O.J. Howard also available at the position. And when Jordan returns from injury (likely after the Week 6 bye), Akins will have plenty of competition for targets at the position.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
