Jesse Winker's Season Likely Over
Jesse Winker (neck) was placed on the injured list on Wednesday and he's likely done for the entire postseason after undergoing an MRI exam in the morning. It's a disappointing way for the 29-year-old left-handed slugger to end his first season with the Mariners. Winker finishes the 2022 campaign with a .219/.344/.344 slash line with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 51 runs scored in 136 games after his first All-Star season with the Cincinnati Reds in 2021. The good news for the M's is that outfielders Jarred Kelenic and Dylan Moore checked out OK after getting hit by pitches in Tuesday's game. Both Kelenic and Moore should see more playing time heading into the team's wild-card series this weekend against the Toronto Blue Jays.
