The Cincinnati Reds have abandoned the four-man outfield which they utilized over the first two months of the season. Winker was originally splitting playing time with Billy Hamilton, Scott Schebler and Adam Duvall, but interim manager Jim Riggleman will move Winker to a bench role going forward. When asked why Winker was the odd man out, Riggleman pointed to Schebler and Duvall's defense. Winker is not known as a strong defender. Winker is batting .245 with one homer, 18 runs and 12 RBI in 178 plate appearances.--Matt T - RotoBaller
