Jeff Wilson Jr. Sees 14 Touches In Week 12 Win
1 year agoMiami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. saw his biggest workload of the year in the Week 12 win over the New York Jets on Friday, just a week after being a healthy scratch. Rookie De'Von Achane (knee) was inactive, leading to Wilson carrying the ball 11 times for 56 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and catching all three of his targets for an additional 17 yards. Wilson looked fresh and explosive after missing the first six weeks of the season with an injury. He was actually outperforming lead back Raheem Mostert until Mostert scored twice on the ground in the second half. The 28-year-old should remain involved in this backfield, but his touch count could suffer once Achane is deemed healthy enough to play again. Wilson probably won't be a viable flex play in deeper leagues once Achane is back.
