2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. does not figure as a fantasy starter in Week 8. Last week, Christian McCaffrey played his first game as a Niner and had more touches than Wilson. Wilson still ran for 54 yards on seven carries, but, while Wilson has been having a good season, he doesn't seem likely to maintain an average of over 7.7 yards per carry every week. Moreover, CMC was being phased into the Niners offense last week in his first game in the scarlet and gold. It is expected that McCaffrey will see even more carries this week and going forward. Fantasy managers who have space on their roster may still keep Wilson as a handcuff, as he could return to a valuable role if McCaffrey goes down.
