Jaylen Samuels Gets Three Touches In Preseason Opener
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Samuels took two rushes for 21 yards and caught one pass for nine yards in Friday's 30-28 preseason win over Tampa Bay. The second-year back was the only offensive player who saw extensive time last to play in the 2019 preseason opener. Samuels is locked in to a role with Pittsburgh as a change of pace back who excels at catching passes out of the backfield. The 23-year-old has standalone fantasy value because of his set role in the offense, but if anything were to happen to James Conner his value wouldn't increase much with the addition of rookie Benny Snell Jr. Samuels has been getting taken in the ninth round of early PPR mock drafts, but that is fair value for a player involved in a top tier offense.
