Jauan Jennings Back at Practice, Could Play in Week 6
Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) was in uniform and taking part on Thursday in the portion of practice open to the media, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said before Thursday's practice that Jennings might be limited on Thursday before returning to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. Jennings did not play in last Thursday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams and didn't take part in practice on Wednesday. The 28-year-old's status for this weekend is still up in the air, but he appears closer to playing against the Bucs than fellow wideout Ricky Pearsall (knee), who hasn't practiced at all this week. If Jennings is active in Week 6, he figures to operate as San Fran's No. 1 wideout, assuming he's not limited at all by his injuries. However, Jennings could be taking passes from backup quarterback Mac Jones again, which would make him an even more shaky flex play in fantasy.
