Jamal Adams Out For Seahawks Defense In Week 5
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams (groin) has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Vikings, according to head coach Pete Carroll. The All-Pro safety and top IDP defensive back when he's healthy, Adams will miss his second straight game with the injury. With a bye coming in Week 6, the 24-year-old former first-round pick of the Jets will have an extra week to recover and should be good to go in Week 7. Ryan Neal is expected to draw the start in the secondary with Adams sidelined. It's bad news for a Seahawks Defense allowing a league-high 408.5 passing yards per game, and it'll also hurt their rush defense, as Adams is excellent at playing downhill near the line of scrimmage. Vikings receivers Adam Thielen and rookie Justin Jefferson, as well as running back Dalvin Cook, should all be in your Week 5 lineups.
