Jamaal Williams Questionable Heading Into Week 6
3 years agoDetroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams (hip, illness) is listed as questionable on the final injury report for the game on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Williams was limited on both Wednesday and Friday, but he took the day off of practice on Thursday. The 26-year-old has 244 rushing yards and two rushing scores on 55 carries -- three more than backfield mate D'Andre Swift -- and has also added 15 receptions on 16 targets for 101 yards in five games as the Lions continue to lean heavily on their backfield duo. Because of Detroit's plan to use both backs frequently, Williams should maintain RB2/3 utility if he's active. If he's forced to sit out, Swift would have obvious high-end RB1 upside on Sunday as the Lions look to get into the win column. Rookie Jermar Jefferson might finally log some touches as well.
