Jamaal Williams Leaves On Stretcher Thursday
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams (head) left the field on a cart with support for his head and neck on Thursday night after taking a vicious hit from Eagles linebacker Derek Barnett on the Packers first play from scrimmage. Williams gave the thumbs up as he left the field and was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. The good news is that he had feeling and movement in all of his extremities. Williams will certainly be put through the league's concussion protocol whenever he leaves the hospital, but the good news is that he'll have extra time to be cleared before Week 5. Still, there's no guarantee that he'll be back next week. If Williams misses any time, rookie Dexter Williams will serve as Aaron Jones' direct backup.
