Jalen Duren Impresses As Starter
2 years agoDetroit Pistons forward/center Jalen Duren logged his 18th start of the campaign Monday against Milwaukee and did very well, notching a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while contributing with two steals and two blocks on the defensive end. In 31 minutes on the floor, Duren added one assist and shot 9-for-13 from the field and 5-for-5 at the foul line. Duren benefited from Isaiah Stewart's (shoulder) absence on Monday, but he also impressed in the previous game against Chicago when he returned from a five-game absence with an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double in 18 minutes. Being part of the starting unit definitely gives Duren more fantasy appeal, though, and he's gone for 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds as a starter this season.
