J.J. Wetherholt Continues to Swing a Hot Bat at Double-A
J.J. Wetherholt has continued to swing a hot bat at Double-A. Over his last 10 contests, Wetherholt has posted a stellar .317/.391/.561 slash line. During this stretch, Wetherholt has tallied four doubles and two home runs. He swiped three bags and held an impressive 7:5 K:BB. Through his first 30 games at the Double-A level, last season's seventh overall pick has held his own, posting a .291/.385/.445 line. He has gone deep three times, tallied eight doubles, swiped six bags, and held a 16:16 K:BB. After last year's MLB Draft, the West Virginia product made his professional debut with Low-A, where he posted a .295/.405/.400 line with two long balls in 29 games. If the 22-year-old continues to hold his own at Double-A, he could be in the mix to earn a Triple-A promotion in the second half of the season.
