J.D. Davis Back in San Francisco's Lineup
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman J.D. Davis (illness) has returned to the team's starting lineup on Friday to take on the Washington Nationals and right-hander Jake Irvin. A stomach bug kept Davis from playing in the team's last two games, but he's feeling good enough to return to the field to begin a weekend series in D.C. Fantasy managers might want to leave the 30-year-old on the bench, though, as he's gone just 9-for-47 (.192) with one home run, two doubles, three RBI and five runs scored in 13 games so far in the month of July. He's been a mediocre performer this year for those in deeper fantasy leagues, hitting .268/.348/.431 with 11 home runs, 47 RBI and 39 runs scored in 299 at-bats for the Gigantes.
