J.D. Davis Back in San Francisco's Lineup
10 months agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman J.D. Davis (illness) has returned to the team's starting lineup on Friday to take on the Washington Nationals and right-hander Jake Irvin. A stomach bug kept Davis from playing in the team's last two games, but he's feeling good enough to return to the field to begin a weekend series in D.C. Fantasy managers might want to leave the 30-year-old on the bench, though, as he's gone just 9-for-47 (.192) with one home run, two doubles, three RBI and five runs scored in 13 games so far in the month of July. He's been a mediocre performer this year for those in deeper fantasy leagues, hitting .268/.348/.431 with 11 home runs, 47 RBI and 39 runs scored in 299 at-bats for the Gigantes.
