Ian Anderson Shuts Out Yankees Over 6 2/3 Innings
4 years agoAtlanta Braves rookie hurler Ian Anderson held the New York Yankees scoreless during Wednesday's 4-1 victory. The sophomore's control wasn't perfect — and he walked four batters — but he threw the big pitches when they were needed and he allowed just four singles to the struggling American League club. Anderson also induced nine ground-ball outs. The win was his first of the season and he lowered his ERA to 3.27. In total, he has a K-BB of 23-11 this season through 22 innings. He's showing signs of heating up and has now failed to allow a home run over his last two starts. Anderson is considered by Rotoballer to be the top rookie hurler for the 2021 redraft fantasy leagues.
