Kansas City Royals starting pitching prospect Hunter Patteson tossed a season-high eight innings on Thursday evening. He did not allow a run, gave up just three hits, and struck out five. Patteson allowed all three of his in the first two frames and retired the final 19 batters he faced. This was a stellar bounce-back performance for the Central Florida product, as he held a 5.87 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in his previous three starts. Through 55 total innings at Single-A this season, Patteson has posted a 3.27 ERA and an excellent 0.95 WHIP. Currently, Patteson is not ranked within Kansas City's top 30 prospects on MLB Pipeline, but that could change over the course of the summer if he continues to turn in gems like this.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
