Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist scored the game-winning goal to lift the Red Wings over the Panthers on Saturday night. Looking for his first goal of the season, and Detroit's first win, Nyquist found the back of the net in overtime. Nyquist had an assist earlier in the game, which gives him a respectable total of seven points in eight games. His point production pace will slow at some point but for now, he is making the most of his usage on the top line and top power-play unit. With a start like he is enjoying, this could be the season that Nyquist finally reaches 50 points again after failing to do so each of the last three years.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
