Gerald Everett Trending Towards Playing In Week 9
1 year agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (hip) was listed as a full practice participant on Thursday. It means that Everett is trending toward playing on Monday night against the New York Jets after he was held out of the Week 8 Sunday night victory over the Chicago Bears. Everett's impending return is bad news for Donald Parham Jr., who benefitted from a bigger role by catching a season-high four passes on five targets for 43 yards and his fourth touchdown of 2023. The 29-year-old Everett has just 19 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns on the year on 23 targets, making him more of a TE2 streamer as long as Parham is taking valuable red-zone looks away from him.
